From street saxophonist to hip-hop producer, Jason brings the sounds and skills we rely on.


Need live horns on Middlemost Post? Done. Music edit a temp film score in a day? No problem.


Growing up in Cincinnati's strong jazz scene, Jason’s passion for creating music was sparked early on, and we’re all better for it.


When he’s not working with Cake in Space, Jason produces records for Nashville artists and has contributed to projects like the Emmy-nominated Nella the Princess Knight and The Middlemost Post.


Currently, he’s our go-to for in-house music editing on feature-length projects

Matt Mahaffey

Composer/Producer/Owner

Matt Mahaffey is an Emmy and Annie-nominated composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, recognized for his inventive approach to scoring animation and his broad musical range.


After being signed to a record deal at just 19 with his project sElf, Matt transitioned from fronting his own rock band to crafting music for film and television, where his ideas found a more fitting home.


His work with DreamWorks on the Shrek series opened the door to a career in animation scoring, where he went on to collaborate with Hans Zimmer on Spirit (Dreamworks). Since then, he has composed music for over 50 films and series ,including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ni Hao, Kai-lan, Sanjay and Craig,Max and the Midnights, and Transformers Rescuebots Academy.


In addition to his scoring work, Matt has produced for artists like Keith Urban and Lupe Fiasco, achieving Gold and Platinum certifications along the way. He also spent three years touring with Beck,  contributing to the Grammy-winning album Morning Phase.

Leticia Wolf

Songwriter/Creative Director/Owner

Tish is a composer, songwriter, and music supervisor in the film and television industry.

She co-founded the composer collective Cake in Space with Matt Mahaffey in 2018 and is known for her creative solutions and original content.

Her career spans diverse genres, from composing the "hip-hopera" 2000 and Future to founding the hard-rock trio The Dead Deads, with fans like Paul Stanley and Corey Taylor.

Tish’s television work began with The Miss Howard Stern Show in 2008, and she has since worked on Middlemost Post, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Blippi’s Treehouse, and more.

She co-developed Rock Your Speech with Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick to help kids with autism through music,
and currently serves as Musical Curriculum Consultant for Little Baby Bum Music Time (Netflix/Moonbug).

Tish dreams of composing for comedies like Big Mouth or creating musical films like La La Land or Encanto.

Marcus Meston

Composer/Producer/Editor

Marcus graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Audio Production and quickly made his mark after joining us as an intern.

Within a year, he was running his own show and taking on a wide range of projects.

As the first team member hired on to Cake in Space, Marcus has been instrumental in shaping the company.

He’s a skilled producer and engineer with music featured in the Olympics, Louis Vuitton campaigns, and HBO’s Euphoria. His credits include Karma’s World, Marvel’s Long Story Short, Transformers Rescue Bots, Total Divas, and Total Bellas.

Whether it's modern, electric scoring like Euphoria or any other genre, Marcus handles it all with ease.

Keiffer Infantino

Composer/Producer/Editor

Keiffer, a Berklee graduate in Music Production and Engineering, is a multi-instrumentalist and a key part of our team.

His expertise helped develop our early systems for file-sharing and databasing, and as an educator, he's known for his patience and dedication in training interns and future composers.

Keiffer's credits include Nella the Princess Knight (Emmy-nominated), Transformers Rescue Bots, The Middlemost Post, The Barbarian and the Troll, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Living his dream, Keiffer is excited to help shape the soundtrack of the next generation.

Jaye Marie Vanyo

Composer / Producer / Editor

Jaye Marie is a mastermind where sound design, production, and composition converge.

Known for her unique style and dedication to delivering something special for each client, Jaye Marie’s collaboration with Matt began long before Cake in Space, when he produced her as an artist.

Her talent for crafting catchy melodies and shimmering pop production immediately stood out.

Jaye Marie’s work has been featured on Grey’s Anatomy, Riverdale, The Bold Type, Julie & the Phantoms, and CMT’s Music City.

Recently, she collaborated with Tish on Blippi’s Treehouse (Prime Video) and Morphle and the Magic Pets (Disney Jr.).
